Brockman, co-founder and president of OpenAI, testified the day after his court showdown with Musk, stating that as more advanced AI models are developed and the scope of services expands, computing costs have surged from approximately $30 million in 2017 to tens of billions of dollars this year. OpenAI has previously committed to investing over $1.4 trillion in AI infrastructure over the next few years and informed investors in February this year of its plan to invest around $600 billion by 2030.
