On April 28, reporters obtained information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealing that the Ministry, in collaboration with the National Data Administration, has recently issued an official notice to launch the 'Model-Data Synergy' Initiative for 2026. Centered on 20 pivotal industries within the manufacturing sector and involving the selection of several key cities, this initiative aims to pioneer pathways for the generation of crucial technological outputs. These outputs include scenarios, models, intelligent agents, datasets, and case studies, all geared towards fostering the seamless integration of artificial intelligence into the ongoing process of new industrialization. The initiative encompasses the construction of industry-specific and general knowledge datasets, the development of industry models and unique intelligent agents, the promotion of collaborative innovation consortia, and the refinement of the industrial ecosystem with a focus on talent and standards. By the end of 2026, the overarching objective is to establish a self-sustaining and virtuous cycle of 'data-model-scenario application'.
