"TIME" has released its list of the 10 most influential artificial intelligence companies for 2026, with selection criteria encompassing industry impact, technological pathways, and societal influence. Three Chinese AI companies—Alibaba, ByteDance, and Zhipu—have made the list. Notably, Alibaba's open-source AI model, QianWen, has surpassed 1 billion downloads; ByteDance's AI assistant, Doubao, achieved over 100 million daily active users during the Lunar New Year, with weekly active users exceeding 155 million; Zhipu, China's first large language model company to go public via an IPO in Hong Kong, has a model, GLM-5, that outperforms Gemini 3 Pro in certain parameters and can run on Huawei processors. Additionally, international companies such as OpenAI and Alphabet are also featured on the list.
