Today, the 2026 Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon, co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and China Media Group, among other organizations, commenced with the participation of over a hundred teams. Teams employing autonomous navigation and those utilizing remote control competed side by side, with unified rankings. The results for the two categories were calculated using weighted coefficients of 1.0 and 1.2, respectively, to account for the varying degrees of difficulty and technological sophistication involved. Ultimately, the “Lightning” robot, developed by Beijing Glory, emerged as the frontrunner, crossing the finish line in an impressive 48 minutes and 19 seconds. Notably, it was also the first competitor to set off in the race.
