This piece of news was made public by Liu Jiang, the co-founder of Turing, on April 15. Guo Daya, who departed from DeepSeek in March, is the primary contributor to several pivotal models, with a particular focus on code intelligence and reasoning capabilities. As a Ph.D. holder trained through a joint program, he has clinched multiple championships in algorithm competitions, thus attracting the attention of several prominent companies. Public records reveal that he has been actively involved in the research and development of significant projects, published over ten papers at top-tier international conferences, and amassed more than 3,800 citations on Google Scholar.
