Apple has recently rolled out an in-house 'AI Coding Intensive Program' tailored for its Siri engineering crew. This initiative aims to bolster their technical prowess in the realms of generative artificial intelligence and large language models, paving the way for the next iteration of Siri and systems such as iOS 18 to incorporate more sophisticated AI functionalities. The intensive program spans several weeks and sees the participation of nearly 200 engineers. Upon its conclusion, a select group of 60 will continue as the backbone of the core development team, whereas another 60 will transition to roles focused on assessing the virtual assistant's performance.
