Under this new scheme, certain ads will incur charges based on user clicks, moving beyond the mere count of impressions. Additionally, OpenAI is also gearing up to roll out ads designed to prompt users into specific actions, like making purchases or downloading apps. However, the exact launch date for these new ad formats remains unconfirmed. Prior to this, OpenAI had already commenced testing ChatGPT ads in the United States, targeting both users of the free version and those subscribed to the $8-per-month plan.
