On April 13, a coalition of 16 scientific and technological societies, all under the umbrella of the China Association for Science and Technology—including notable entities such as the Chinese Association of Automation, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the China Computer Federation, and the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence—jointly unveiled the "Initiative of Scientific and Technological Societies for Global AI Governance." This initiative underscores a human-centric philosophy and champions the use of AI for the greater good, with the vision of nurturing an open, equitable, inclusive, and efficient global framework for AI governance. The key tenets of this initiative encompass:

• Anchoring AI academic research in the common welfare of humanity;
• Prioritizing safety as the bedrock of both academic inquiry and governance;
• Upholding the equal right of all nations to engage in AI research and governance, while staunchly opposing technological dominance, academic barriers, exclusive factions, and unwarranted technological monopolies;
• Bolstering public education to foster an accurate comprehension of the various stages of technological advancement and its inherent potential risks.
