On April 11 (local time), Anthropic released the beta version of Claude for Word, challenging Microsoft's software ecosystem and targeting users in the legal industry. Previously, Claude had already been integrated into Excel and PowerPoint. The newly launched Word plugin is designed for professionals handling large volumes of documents, particularly suited for scenarios such as legal reviews. The plugin's features include allowing users to ask questions about document content, edit selected text, use 'Track Changes,' and manage comment threads. Anthropic also provides example prompts for lawyers reviewing contracts. Currently, this feature is only available to users with Team and Enterprise subscription plans.
