On the 10th, Russian President Vladimir Putin presided over a Kremlin meeting focused on the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. During the meeting, he announced the formation of a dedicated committee tasked with formulating Russia's AI development strategy and coordinating relevant initiatives. Putin emphasized that AI and similar technologies are undergoing rapid development and are fundamentally reshaping diverse sectors. For Russia, he stressed, it is of paramount importance to independently cultivate domestic foundational AI models that are globally competitive and highly autonomous, with the entire research, development, and training process to be undertaken by Russian enterprises.
