On Thursday local time, Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup, xAI, filed a lawsuit seeking to block the enforcement of a new artificial intelligence regulatory law in the U.S. state of Colorado, escalating the debate over regulatory authority. The lawsuit was submitted to the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, challenging Senate Bill 24-205, which is set to take effect on June 30. The bill requires developers of 'high-risk' AI systems to disclose information and mitigate risks when making decisions in areas such as employment, housing, and education.
