Taotian Restructures E-commerce Ecosystem with Token Integration, Seeks AI Agent Service Providers

In the new fiscal year, Alibaba's Taotian Group has recalibrated its AI strategy, with a sharpened focus on the AI-to-Business (AI2B) domain. The group is set to overhaul its e-commerce framework centered around the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business unit, and will implement organizational reforms. These reforms include appointing a new head for the AI business within the China E-commerce Business Group and realigning relevant business segments.

Taotian Group is actively seeking AI Agent-based service providers, dubbed as the "fourth-generation service providers", to join its ecosystem. Additionally, the Qianniu platform will undergo a transformation, evolving into "Qianniu Claw", with a strategic rollout planned around the highly anticipated 618 shopping festival. During the earnings call, Wu Yongming outlined an ambitious target, aiming for AI and cloud revenue to reach an annual milestone of $100 billion over the next five years.
