In April 2026, both Meituan and JD.com implemented more stringent measures regarding the utilization of external AI large-scale models. Meituan revised its internal policies, discontinuing the active promotion of Alibaba Cloud's Qwen model for business applications. Should the need arise to employ this model, employees are now required to provide detailed justifications and seek approval from senior management. Meanwhile, Meituan encourages the use of its in-house developed LongCat model. JD.com, taking a different approach, limited its employees' access to external AI platforms. To facilitate this, it offered a gateway to its proprietary large-scale model and established an application process for accessing external AI tools on the restricted pages, aiming to safeguard information security and ensure regulatory compliance.
