IBM has announced a partnership with Arm to jointly develop a new type of 'dual-architecture hardware' to help enterprises tackle future AI and data-intensive workloads. The two companies will combine their respective strengths to create a flexible and scalable computing platform. The collaboration focuses on three key areas: first, developing virtualization technologies to enable Arm-based software environments to run on IBM enterprise computing platforms; second, meeting the workload demands of modern AI and data-intensive applications; and third, creating a shared technology layer to enhance the flexibility of software ecosystems and application deployment management.
