Recently, in reaction to NeurIPS' decision to bar submissions from certain institutions that are under U.S. sanctions, organizations including the China Computer Federation, the Chinese Association of Automation, and the China Society of Image and Graphics jointly put forward an initiative. This initiative urges relevant researchers and institutions to boycott offering academic services to NeurIPS and to cease submitting papers to the conference. On March 27, NeurIPS made a public apology through social media platforms, expressing its remorse over the improper content included in its call for paper guidelines.
