On March 26, the General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Government unveiled the Implementation Plan aimed at fostering the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry within Guangzhou. This strategic blueprint emphasizes the acceleration of research, development, and application (here, 'promotion' has been refined to 'application' to better align with the technical context and convey the idea of putting technologies into practical use) of intelligent hardware, encompassing intelligent connected vehicles, intelligent unmanned systems, comprehensive smart home terminals, intelligent wearable gadgets, industrial intelligent devices, and brain-computer interfaces.
Simultaneously, the plan is set to propel the utilization of large-scale onboard models and champion the evolution of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) systems that seamlessly integrate household appliances, central control systems, and sensors. Furthermore, it advocates for the commercial exploitation of embodied intelligent robots, bolsters enterprises in their pursuit of independently developing core components, and broadens the deployment of these robots across diverse sectors, including industrial manufacturing, home services, healthcare, among others.
