On March 25, 2026, the China Computer Federation (CCF) released a statement strongly opposing the policy outlined in NeurIPS' call for papers, which explicitly bans submissions from certain organizations that fall under U.S. sanctions. The CCF holds that openness, inclusivity, equality, and collaboration are the bedrock values and guiding principles of academic discourse. NeurIPS' decision, however, injects politics into the realm of academic exchange, thereby contravening these essential principles. The CCF urges all computer scientists in China to consciously refrain from participating in any academic services or submitting papers to NeurIPS and cautions that if NeurIPS fails to swiftly rectify its stance, it will be removed from the CCF's list of recommended conferences.
