According to Reuters, the city of Baltimore in the United States has initiated formal legal proceedings against Elon Musk's xAI company. The lawsuit alleges that xAI's AI chatbot, Grok, has been illegally generating explicit sexual images and content involving the sexual exploitation of children without obtaining consent. As the largest city to take legal action against xAI over 'deepfake' concerns, Baltimore emphasized in its complaint, which was filed in the circuit court, that although xAI markets Grok as a secure and versatile AI assistant, its actual functioning is purportedly in breach of consumer protection laws.
