The Chinese name for 'Token' has been finalized and officially designated as 'Ciyuan'. According to an article from People's Daily reposted by the Chinese government website, this naming was established by the National Data Administration. As of March this year, China's average daily Ciyuan invocation volume has surpassed 140 trillion, marking an increase of over a thousandfold compared to the beginning of 2024 and over 40% growth compared to the end of 2025. As the smallest unit of information processed by large models, Ciyuan is measurable, priced, and tradable, with its invocation volume serving as a key indicator for measuring the activity and industrial value of AI models.
