On March 24, according to the report of Korea Economic Daily, as AI companies are scaling up production to meet the demand for AI memory chips, SK Hynix is planning to raise US$10 billion to US$15 billion through a listing in the United States. SK Hynix intends to issue new shares for listing and trading as American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), and use the potential proceeds to build AI infrastructure, such as constructing a semiconductor cluster in Yongin, South Korea, and expanding the production capacity of memory products. In response, an SK Hynix spokesperson stated that measures to enhance shareholder value, including American Depositary Receipts, are under review and no final decision has been made.
