Additionally, OpenAI outlined other risks, including substantial capital expenditures, high dependence on computing resources, ongoing litigation with Elon Musk's xAI company, and its unique structure as a public benefit corporation. In response, an OpenAI spokesperson stated that this is merely standard legal risk factor disclosure unrelated to any potential IPO plans, emphasizing that similar language has been used for years. He also added that Microsoft is, and will continue to be, an important long-term partner for OpenAI.
