The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently embarked on the selection process aimed at establishing the inaugural cohort of national demonstration bases for the cultivation of emerging industries. This initiative encompasses both park-centric and enterprise-centric demonstration bases, spanning across ten pivotal sectors, notably artificial intelligence, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, and intelligent robotics. To be eligible, applicants are required to attain leading standards within China and maintain a clean record devoid of any major safety incidents or environmental pollution episodes over the past three years. Provinces with significant economic contributions are permitted to nominate 2 parks and 20 enterprises, whereas other regions are entitled to recommend 1 park and 10 enterprises.
