On March 16, 2026, Meta entered into a five-year strategic agreement with cloud service provider Nebius, with plans to allocate up to $27 billion towards AI infrastructure development. Under the terms of the agreement, by 2027, Nebius will exclusively supply Meta with AI computing power valued at $12 billion, spanning multiple data center locations. Furthermore, if the computing power earmarked by Nebius for the next five years remains unsold to other customers, Meta reserves the right to purchase an additional computing capacity worth up to $15 billion. Nebius will implement NVIDIA's cutting-edge Vera Rubin AI infrastructure platform, with the relevant computing power slated for delivery starting early next year. This move aligns with the industry trend of leveraging advanced AI infrastructure to drive innovation and maintain competitive edge, a strategy commonly adopted by tech giants in the face of rapid technological evolution.
