This afternoon, the National Network and Information Security Information Notification Center released a critical safety alert concerning OpenClaw. Presently, OpenClaw boasts over 200,000 active internet assets worldwide, with roughly 23,000 situated within the domestic sphere, predominantly clustered in areas abundant with internet resources. However, the system harbors significant security vulnerabilities, including flaws in architectural design, vulnerabilities in default configurations, high-risk security gaps, supply chain contamination, and unpredictable agent behavior, rendering it particularly vulnerable to cyber threats. In light of these concerns, the notification outlines five proactive preventive measures: ensuring timely upgrades of software versions; refining default configurations to bolster security; exercising caution when installing third-party plugins; fortifying account authentication protocols; and imposing strict execution permissions on agents.
