Google is in the process of upgrading the Gemini AI assistant for its Workspace applications, granting it the capability to autonomously create draft documents in Docs, construct spreadsheets in Sheets, and craft PPT slides in Slides. As of yesterday, the updated beta version has been made available to AI Ultra subscribers and Gemini Alpha enterprise clients, with current support limited to the English language. In Docs, the Gemini AI assistant is able to automatically glean context to produce drafts that align with the user's writing style. In Sheets, the assistant can generate tables, extract data, and automatically arrange cells according to prompts. Officials assert that its efficiency can reach up to nine times that of human users. Additionally, in Slides, the assistant is capable of generating entire presentations based on a single slide.
