On the afternoon of March 7, the second "Members' Passage" event of the fourth session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) took place at the Great Hall of the People. Wang Zhigang, a member of the National Committee of the CPPCC and former Minister of Science and Technology, highlighted that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China has achieved significant progress in scientific and technological innovation. He pointed out several key advancements, including high-speed rail reaching speeds of up to 450 kilometers per hour, remarkable strides in embodied intelligence and multimodal assistants within the field of artificial intelligence, as well as new breakthroughs in quantum technology concerning communication, computing, and measurement.
