On March 2, the official Qwen large model platform announced that Alibaba would standardize the overarching designation and core brand identity of its AI operations under the name “Qwen” (English name: Qwen). Following this consolidation, the Qwen large model portfolio now includes both foundational models and specialized domain-specific models. The Qwen APP has been designated as the flagship application for end-users, while “Tongyi Lab” will serve as the official organizational name for Alibaba’s AI research and development entity.
