On February 28th, Wang Xingxing, who serves as the Deputy Director of the Humanoid Robot and Embodied AI Standardization Technical Committee under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is also the founder of Unitree Robotics, expressed his views at the Annual Conference on Humanoid Robot and Embodied AI Standardization. He highlighted that over the past several years, Unitree Robotics has been dedicated to advancing the integration of robots into factory settings, with the ambitious objective of manufacturing humanoid robots within its own production facilities. Presently, when robots are adequately trained to perform a single task, they can achieve a success rate nearing 100%. However, their proficiency in long-term task planning still requires enhancement. Wang Xingxing emphasized that a robot's motor capabilities are fundamental to task execution; the more stable and varied their movements, the greater their work replicability and consistency. Concerning the establishment of industry standards, he believes it is imperative to develop a comprehensive standard system encompassing robot efficiency, stability, safety, and other critical aspects. Unitree Robotics is eager to actively contribute to the promotion of industry standardization, thereby nurturing the robust growth of the robotics sector. Given that the robot industry is still in its nascent stages, fostering healthy competition is paramount for its sustained development.
