According to a statement from South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Hyundai Motor Group plans to invest 9 trillion won (approximately US$6.3 billion) in artificial intelligence, robotics, and hydrogen business sectors in the Saemangeum area on South Korea's west coast. On Friday, Hyundai Motor Group signed an investment agreement with the government. The specific investment plans include: spending 400 billion won to build a robot manufacturing factory, 5.8 trillion won to establish an artificial intelligence data center, 1 trillion won to set up water electrolysis facilities for green hydrogen production and supply, and 1.3 trillion won for solar power generation facility construction.
