On the 25th, our reporters obtained information from Nanjing University that the research team, helmed by Professor Miao Feng from the Brain-inspired Intelligence Science and Technology Research Center at the institution, has put forward and substantiated a novel intelligent computing model termed "edge-cloud integration". This innovative model seamlessly incorporates wireless communication into neural networks. In doing so, it substantially cuts down the power consumption of wireless communication modules, all the while preserving high-precision inference capabilities. It offers a fresh theoretical outlook and an engineering approach for the intelligent interconnection of an extensive array of edge devices. The pertinent research results were published in the esteemed international academic journal Nature Electronics on February 25th.
