Microsoft is broadening its rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot to macOS users within the enterprise sector. Based on the most recent product roadmap, beginning in mid-February 2026, the Mac version of the Microsoft 365 installer will feature a dedicated application icon for 'Microsoft 365 Copilot.' This enhancement follows a January 2026 update for the Windows platform, which prioritized 'executability, contextual awareness, and more intuitive interactions.' For instance, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint now incorporate an Agent mode, enabling direct document generation or rewriting based on user prompts. The Outlook mobile app has introduced voice interaction features, allowing users to verbally summarize unread emails and receive actionable guidance for composing replies, deleting messages, or archiving them. Furthermore, Excel now supports local workbook storage, while PowerPoint users can leverage Copilot for content inquiries and summaries even when in read-only mode.
