On February 11, 2026, OpenAI announced the launch of a new full-screen document reader for ChatGPT's advanced research feature. The reader supports opening AI-generated long-form research reports in a standalone window, displaying a table of contents navigation on the left and listing reference sources on the right. Users can easily scroll through and jump to specified content sections. This update also allows users to restrict information sources to specific websites, monitor research progress in real-time, dynamically adjust research scope, or add new reference sources. Upon completion, users can export files in Markdown, Word, and PDF formats. The tool is now powered by the GPT-5.2 model, with the new features initially available to Plus, Pro, and the newly launched ChatGPT Go users, while free users will gradually receive the update over the coming days.
