Mozilla has made an announcement stating that, commencing with Firefox version 148, which was rolled out on February 24, users are given the choice to activate the 'Block AI enhancements' setting within the browser's options. After enabling this setting, users will be spared from any pop-up notifications or reminders related to both existing and upcoming AI features. Moreover, this option empowers users to control each AI feature on an individual basis. The newly appointed CEO of Mozilla emphasized that AI features ought to be designed in such a way that users can easily opt out, and that users should have a clear understanding of how these features operate as well as the benefits they offer.
