On February 1, the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs made an announcement, stating that it had given the green light for the resumption of services for Grok AI, a tool on Musk's X platform. This decision came after the ministry received guarantees concerning the prevention of pornographic content generation. The ministry clarified that the removal of the ban was not without conditions. Instead, it was a component of a quantifiable and easily evaluable digital enforcement framework. If any future breaches were detected, corrective actions would be implemented, including the potential for re-suspending the service. Earlier in January, the Indonesian government had placed a temporary ban on Grok, driven by worries about its possible misuse in creating pornographic material.
