Following a spate of widespread problems triggered by the January cumulative update, Microsoft unveiled an optional update, designated as KB5074105, last night. This update is specifically crafted to rectify certain errors plaguing the Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 editions. Nevertheless, this update has inadvertently introduced fresh complications: a number of laptop users have reported that their built-in cameras ceased functioning post-installation. The camera indicator light flickered on and off, and an error message indicating a hardware malfunction was displayed whenever an attempt was made to activate the camera. This predicament has posed significant inconveniences for users who heavily rely on video conferencing. Hence, it is advisable for such users to refrain from installing this update for the time being.
