Meta Platforms has declared that it will temporarily prohibit teenage users from utilizing its artificial intelligence avatar feature until an enhanced version is developed and made available. Those users who have registered as teenagers according to their birth dates, or who have been identified as potentially underage through age-prediction technology, will be denied access. Meta explained that this decision is made with the intention of creating a tailored version for teenagers. This customized version will incorporate more stringent content filters, set limits on usage time, and include parental supervision tools. It is anticipated to be rolled out in the first half of 2026.
