According to official information released by the Beijing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, on January 19, the bureau unveiled the "Trial Measures for Professional Title Evaluation in the Robotics Field in Beijing." This move marks the addition of a dedicated professional title for robotics within the engineering technology category. The evaluation framework encompasses the entire robotics industrial chain, spanning four key sectors: core components, algorithms and software, overall design and manufacturing, as well as system integration and application. The professional title hierarchy comprises four levels, ranging from junior to the most senior.

These measures are set to take effect in 2026, with the inaugural evaluation process slated to begin in July. This initiative aims to carve out a clear career progression path for an estimated 30,000 professionals currently engaged in Beijing's burgeoning robotics sector, fostering talent development and industry growth.
