Canada's privacy regulator has launched an investigation into Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI, after its chatbot Grok was accused of generating sexualized deepfake content without the consent of the individuals involved. Meanwhile, Canadian Privacy Commissioner Philippe Dufresne announced that he would expand the scope of the investigation into X, the platform operating Grok. Canada has thus become the latest jurisdiction to resist deepfake content on Musk's social media platform.
