On January 14th local time, Fidji Simo, CEO of OpenAI's Applied Business, announced on the social media platform X that Barret Zoph, Luke Metz, and Sam Schoenholz have returned to OpenAI. All three previously worked at Thinking Machines Lab, an AI startup led by Mira Murati, OpenAI's former Chief Technology Officer.
