On January 7th, eight governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, jointly released the Implementation Guidelines for the Special Initiative on 'AI+Manufacturing.' These guidelines outline a vision for China to attain a secure and reliable supply of essential AI core technologies by 2027, positioning the nation's industrial scale and AI empowerment capabilities at the forefront globally. The strategy emphasizes advancing the utilization of versatile large-scale AI models within the manufacturing industry, nurturing a robust ecosystem of enterprises, fostering an open-source environment, and implementing targeted actions in critical domains such as computational resource provisioning and the advancement of industry-specific AI models.
