On the 8th, reporters obtained information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that eight departments, encompassing the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology itself, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the National Development and Reform Commission, have recently collaboratively released the 'Implementation Opinions on the Special Initiative for AI Plus Manufacturing'. These opinions are designed to foster the profound integration of AI technological innovation with manufacturing applications, thereby attaining mutual empowerment. By 2027, China aims to secure a reliable and safe supply of crucial core AI technologies, with the industrial scale and empowerment level attaining global leadership.

Specific objectives encompass the widespread application of 3-5 versatile large-scale models within the manufacturing sector, the introduction of 1,000 high-caliber industrial intelligent agents, the creation of 100 premium industrial datasets, and the promotion of 500 exemplary application scenarios. Furthermore, the initiative seeks to nurture 2-3 ecologically dominant enterprises of global repute, alongside a cluster of specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises. It also aims to cultivate a number of empowerment application service providers, select and establish 1,000 benchmark enterprises, construct a globally leading open-source ecosystem, comprehensively bolster security governance capabilities, and offer China's innovative solutions to the global advancement of AI.
