Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveiled the Action Plan for the Integrated Empowerment of the Industrial Internet and Artificial Intelligence. This plan is designed to foster a deeper integration of artificial intelligence and the industrial internet via four key initiatives: upgrading foundational infrastructure, ensuring interoperability of data models, revitalizing application modes, and integrating industrial ecosystems. The overarching goal is to propel new-type industrialization forward and play a pivotal role in constructing China into a manufacturing powerhouse and a cyber-strong nation. According to the plan, by 2028, there will be a marked enhancement in the level of integrated empowerment. This includes facilitating the implementation of new-type industrial network upgrades in at least 50,000 enterprises, developing high-quality datasets across 20 pivotal industries, fostering the growth of intelligent solution suppliers, and attaining efficient allocation of vital resources.
