On January 7, our reporters obtained information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) that the ministry had recently unveiled the Action Plan for the Integrated Empowerment of the Industrial Internet and Artificial Intelligence. According to the plan, by 2028, China will witness a substantial enhancement in the integrated empowerment of its industrial internet and artificial intelligence sectors. This will involve promoting the transformation and upgrading of new industrial networks for a minimum of 50,000 enterprises, ensuring they can meet the stringent communication requirements of artificial intelligence industrial applications, such as high throughput, low latency, high reliability, and minimal jitter.
Concurrently, the plan also outlines the intention to develop a collection of high-quality datasets across 20 key industries and nurture a cadre of intelligent solution providers. These efforts are aimed at effectively propelling the collaborative upgrading of enterprises of all sizes, from large to medium and small.
