The Cyberspace Administration of China released an official announcement, stating that the cyberspace regulatory authorities, in close collaboration with relevant departments, have been steadily advancing the filing process for generative artificial intelligence (AI) services in accordance with established regulations. In the year 2025 alone, an impressive 446 generative AI services successfully completed their filing procedures. Additionally, 330 applications or specific functionalities underwent registration with local cyberspace regulatory bodies. As of December 31, 2025, the cumulative number of generative AI services that have completed filing has reached 748, while 435 applications or functionalities have finished the registration process.
