This decision marks an escalation in regulatory action against the X platform, following an earlier directive from the EU that addressed concerns over the platform’s algorithms and recommendation mechanisms potentially facilitating the spread of illicit content. The European Commission has acknowledged receipt of a response from the X platform and is now in the process of evaluating it.
