Kuaishou has released an official notice stating that, to uphold the platform's core responsibilities and align with the directives of the National Radio and Television Administration concerning the targeted regulation of AI-manipulated videos, Kuaishou will initiate a dedicated governance initiative starting January 1, 2026. This effort will specifically target illicit AI-manipulated videos, with a strong emphasis on combating activities such as the malicious alteration, crude reinterpretation, and unauthorized remaking of classic films, TV shows, and animated content through AI technology. The goal is to preserve a healthy and orderly environment for content dissemination. To date, the platform has already addressed and taken action against 1,057 instances of illegal content.
