According to the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, by 2025, Shanghai's artificial intelligence (AI) industry had achieved remarkable milestones, successfully fulfilling the annual objectives set forth in the "Shanghai Plan" for AI development. During the first three quarters of the year, 394 above-scale enterprises in the city collectively generated revenues amounting to RMB 435.492 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 39.6%. Their total profits reached RMB 40.781 billion, up by 11.4% from the previous year, reflecting a broad-based expansion in industry scale and enhanced operational efficiency. Looking ahead, it is anticipated that the annual scale of the above-scale AI industry will surpass RMB 550 billion, with a growth rate exceeding 30%.
