On December 30, 2025, local time, Elon Musk announced on social media that his artificial intelligence company, xAI, has acquired a third building named MACROHARDRR in South Haven, Mississippi, to expand the model training capacity of its supercomputer cluster, Colossus. The building is adjacent to the Colossus 2 data center in Memphis, Tennessee, and aims to elevate xAI's AI training computing power to nearly 2 gigawatts. Currently, xAI has completed the construction of its first data center, Colossus, in Memphis and is building a second facility, Colossus 2, nearby. The newly acquired building will further enhance xAI's computing infrastructure, bolstering its competitiveness in the AI field.
