On December 31st, SoftBank Group revealed that on December 26th, it had successfully carried out an extra $22.5 billion investment in OpenAI. This move fully realized the investment pledge it made back in March. Presently, SoftBank commands roughly 11% of OpenAI's total shares. The company mentioned that, thanks to an additional $11 billion stemming from oversubscription and heightened involvement by other third-party co-investors, the entire $41 billion investment commitment has now been fully funded.
