Meta has acquired Butterfly Effect, the developer of the AI application, for billions of dollars. The company's flagship product is Manus. This acquisition marks Meta's third-largest deal since its inception, following the purchases of WhatsApp and Scale AI. Prior to the acquisition, Manus was in the process of raising a new round of funding at a valuation of $2 billion, and the acquisition negotiations were swiftly concluded in just over ten days. Initially, the founding team of Manus was hesitant about accepting the acquisition, but they were ultimately persuaded by the conditions and vision proposed by Zuckerberg. Moreover, Zuckerberg and others were also loyal users of Manus. Liu Yuan, a partner at ZhenFund, stated that this acquisition serves as an inspiration for young entrepreneurs in the AI era, believing that the time has come for young Chinese entrepreneurs. Following the acquisition, Butterfly Effect will maintain independent operations, and its founder, Xiao Hong, will serve as Meta's Vice President.
